Halloween 2016 promises for some frightfully fun times

2016 Trick-or-Treat Times Garden Grove CA

It’s still early in the month, but we have to admit our employees here at Garden Grove Kia are excited for this holiday season. Kicking things off, as always, is Halloween. A time when we can let our most ghoulish selves roam free for a few nights. For those with little ones, you may be wondering what time you need to head out the door to get a start on collecting candy. We have information on 2016 trick-or-treat times for the Garden Grove CA community, as well as a few other events to attend while you can.

What are the 2016 Trick-or-Treat times for Orange County CA?

For those trick-or-treating in Orange County, your primary concern is likely when to head out the door. Too late, and candy bowls start emptying, but too early and you look overeager and risk being a nuisance. Or maybe doors will simply go unanswered. Garden Grove is frequently ranked as one of the top spots to trick-or-treat, so you won’t want to miss out.

For those living in the Garden Grove area, you should expect to hit the streets no earlier than 5 p.m. When in doubt, 6 is a great time to start because most neighborhoods will have started, but you want to finish up by 8 p.m.

Halloween Activities in Garden Grove CA

Stop on over by the Atlantis Play Center on Friday, Oct 28 starting at 5:30 to enjoy a variety of family-friendly activities. It’s just $8 per person to enjoy a train ride, carnival games, bounce houses, a magic show and plenty of treats.

Trunk or Treat

What is a trunk or treat? It’s an event where the candy is brought to one place, sitting in the trunks of parked cars so that kids can walk around and get some candy while completely supervised. This particular event also includes a raffle drawing, free taco bowl dinner and fun games.

Halloween Zoo-tacular at Orange County Zoo

A day at the zoo isn’t meant to be a scary event, but that doesn’t mean it can’t have a fun fall atmosphere. There will be trick-or-treating, crafts, a scavenger hunt and games, plus kids are encouraged to dress up.

Anaheim Halloween Parade

Just before the actual holiday, on Saturday, is the Anaheim Halloween Parade. The fall festival starts at 11 a.m. at Center St. Promenade, while the parade begins at 6 at Broadway and West.

Do you have a favorite Halloween event, or do you keep it simple with trick-or-treating? Let us know your thoughts by leaving a comment below. Also be sure to check back here at the Garden Grove Kia Blog for more local happenings.
