The Kia model line is quickly becoming notorious in the automotive industry for its continuous improvement and world-class quality among all its vehicles. One vehicle at the forefront of Kia’s movement is the Rio, equally popular in both sedan and hatchback form. Its 2018 models were recently unveiled at the New York International Auto Show, so today we’ll take you through the 2018 Kia Rio new features and trims!
The first thing you’ll probably notice about both 2018 Rio models is that they’re much longer than their predecessors. The Rio sedan has been stretched out to 172.6 inches long, with the hatchback up to 160 inches long. Still, the Rio is instantly recognizable because of its swift, flowing lines and tiger-nose grille, both of which accentuate the Kia family’s dedication to subtle confidence and great performance.
Stepping inside, the Rio’s cabin has been redesigned to give you much more space and room for connectivity. Its sedan grants up to 89.9 cubic feet of passenger space, and a slew of tech innovations such as a seven-inch floating touchscreen interface, UVO3 voice recognition system, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility!
The 2018 Rio is clearly out to prove that it knows how to hang with the competition. Under the hood you’ll find a spirited Gamma 1.6-liter GDI Inline 4, capable of producing 130 horsepower and 119 lb-ft of torque whether you opt for its six-speed manual or automatic transmission. New aluminum materials have also been used to make the Rio’s engine much lighter, giving you that added adrenaline on the road!

Hello,
I have just purchased a KIA Rio LX (2018). Nice car!! But I find the rear camera view very small. Is it possible for service dept. to change this to a much larger screen?
Approximate cost (in CANADIAN dollars)?
Thank you and kind regards.
