At the beginning of December we teased a new Kia GT concept that the manufacturer has been talking about for a while now. Over the weekend at the North American International Auto Show we finally came out with some answers; yes, Kia has a full-fledged GT model that’s set to hit the market in time, and yes, it’s awesome. Our team at Garden Grove Kia would like to introduce you to the 2018 Kia Stinger!
In regards to the 2018 Stinger, the first thing you’ll notice is that it’s not only fast; it also looks fast, which probably explains why its official designation is a “fastback sedan.” Developed in Frankfurt, Germany, and battle tested on the Nurburgring, the Stinger name is fitting for its scathing, confident and razor sharp appearance on the track and the road.
A closer look at the Stinger reveals its unmistakably Kia design. The iconic tiger-nose grille, LED headlights and refined body frame give it an aura that’s just itching to head out on the open road.
Obviously, with the Stinger being unveiled so recently we don’t have a lot of specifications to share about its performance. However, we are being told that the Stinger will feature many different engine configurations and drivetrain systems, all to give you the perfect balance of fun and control that you want out of your vehicle. Of course, the Stinger is backed by Kia’s promise of quality, safety and durability on the road, meaning that you can have all the fun you want, but also ride with peace of mind. Below is a quote from Orth Hedrick, the vice president of product planning of Kia Motors America, about the Stinger’s appeal:
“Unlike any Kia that has come before it, the Stinger really is a dream car for us, and here today in Detroit, that dream is now a reality after years of commitment and hard work from a passionate group of designers, engineers and executives around the world…no detail was too small to be obsessed over, and the result is simply stunning.”
We can’t wait to share it with you.
