There are four trim levels of the 2020 Forte available. The FE, LXS, and EX models all come with a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine powered by 147 horses. The FE comes with a six-speed manual transmission while the LXS and EX have a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The CVT is the better option for those who want the best fuel economy possible as it contributes to up to 40 highway mpg, 30 city mpg, and 34 combined mpg.

The 2020 Kia Forte also comes with a GT trim. Your intuition should be telling you that this is the most potent model, and your intuition would be correct. The 2020 Kia Forte GT comes with a 201-horsepower, 1.6-liter inline four-cylinder engine. The GT engine is paired with a seven-speed auto-shift manual transmission with overdrive.
