What engine does the 2020 Kia Optima have?
The answer to that question is dependent on the trim level you select. There are five different trim levels and three different engines to choose from. The base (LX) and S trims come with a 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder engine powered by 185 horses. The EX and EX premium models come with a smaller but more efficient 178-horsepower, 1.6-liter inline four-cylinder engine. EX and EX premium drivers can average up to 37 highway mpg, 27 city mpg. These are the most efficient trims available. Now, if you’re one who wants to get the most power of your engine, you should go with the SX Turbo model. This edition comes with 245-horsepower, 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine that puts out 260 lb.-ft. of torque. What we’re trying to say here is that no matter what your preferences are, the 2020 Optima has an engine for you.
