How does the 2019 Kia Sportage compare to the 2019 Kia Sorento?
Size-wise, the difference is obvious. The compact crossover (as it is classified) Sportage measures at 176.4 inches long while the mid-size crossover Sorento is more than a foot longer at 189 inches. Other than that, the differences aren’t quite as glaring. Check out our chart below.

Both of these crossovers feature plenty of technological perks and neither really takes the advantage there. Each vehicle comes available with voice-activated integrated navigation, Sirius XM Satellite Radio, park assist, and blind spot monitoring. Those features are not available on the base trim level, but higher trims come with more technologies, as one may expect.
If you have a larger family or if you frequently transport passengers, the seven-seated Sorento is probably better for you. If you are deciding between these two crossovers, the first thing you should consider is your roominess needs. The Sorento and Sportage are similarly priced and have very similar engine and fuel economy specifications. You won’t know for sure until you take each one of these crossovers for a test spin.
